Web Design
These are a few of the projects I have lead and participated in. Click on the thumbnails to learn more about the particular website.
Susan Doyle for DA
Susan Doyle is the District Attorney for North Carolina Prosecutorial District 11 (Johnston, Harnett and Lee Counties). When running for re-election in 2010, she needed a quick turnaround on simple website to provide information about her and her record as District Attorney and a place to allow voters to easily get in touch with her. I built a simple Wordpress template to give her and her campaign manager complete control over the site and got her web presence up and running in under 24 hours.
International Society of Automation
The International Society of Automation (ISA) is an international non-profit engineering standards organization. They provide engineering standards, training and certifications to their 30,000+ worldwide members. They also publish books and a monthly magazine called InTech, as well as put on conferences and exhibits throughout the year.
While working for ISA, I oversaw a complete redesign of their website. I was in charge of a quality assurance project to analyze the content of the nearly 1,000 pages of the site for relevance, appearance and usability. Also in the process, I worked closely with the graphics department to develop a new layout, then coded that design into a new template for their content management system. The entire process took more than a year to complete.

The Lundy Group
The Lundy Group is a small company specializing in high value commercial, mixed use and in-fill real estate development leasing and management. They liked the general design of their website, but were unhappy with their inability to make updates without going through the previous web designer, who then billed them for every change. They came to me looking for a solution.
I took their existing website, cleaned up the design and then converted it into a Wordpress template, allowing them total control over their content. In addition to installing a Content Management System for them, I designed a solution allowing them to list property on their website and easily sort it by location and type.
Matthews & Wade Building Company
Grady Matthews and Steve Wade, founders of Matthews & Wade Building Company, Inc., have a desire to build quality homes that fit the lifestyle needs and interests of their clients. Matthews & Wade homes contain the conveniences and technology of today while maintaining many of the architectural details of great homes from the past. Steve Wade came to me looking for a website that showed off theses qualities. I went with warm natural tones and textures to match their print marketing and the style of the homes they build.
Lundy Charters
Motivated by frustrations which stemmed from working with organizations resistant to the rapidly changing needs of the marine services industry, Chris Davis and Jim Baker started Lundy Charters and Adventure Medical Consultants to provide a holistic approach to today's dynamic industry. They set out to provide experiences that are not only exciting and memorable, but also safe and secure.
They came to me with questions about how to adjust portions of the site and add some features ahead of their seasonal marketing push. I was able to perform a quick cleanup of their existing website, incorporating their logo and more vibrant colors and images.
Cottie Cups
Cottie Barber designs custom patterns for dishwasher and microwave safe tumblers. Since founding her business while a student at Rhodes College, it has grown dramatically and her cups are now available at retail stores all across the southeast. She needed a simple website to help market her cups that matched their vibrant whimsical style.
Oak City Smoke
Oak City Smoke was established in 2007 with one simple goal, to cook traditional Eastern North Carolina style Barbecue. Their cooking methods follow the methods and traditions established and passed down through generations of North Carolinians.
They needed a quick turnaround on a website ahead of a big BBQ festival they were attending. I delivered a simple menu-style design that matched the banner that would be flying above their booth. I'm currently working with them on a redesign that will show off their delicious barbecue and help launch their catering business to another level.
Automation Federation
While working at ISA, I designed and built a new website for their umbrella organization, the Automation Federation. I also built a special section of the Automation Federation website with a super hero, cartoon theme for and event they were planning and hosting to encourage middle and high school students to enter the field of engineering.

InTech Magazine
While working at ISA, I helped to design and develop a much needed refresh to the InTech Magazine website. I worked closely with the in house graphics department to develop a new grid based design and then assisted in translating that design into a template for their content management system.
